Myra Elizabeth Ludtke, 103, a longtime Janesville, WI resident died Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Evansville Manor. Myra was born on January 13, 1907 in Minong, WI, the daughter of Robert and Anna (Peaks) Cashman. She graduated from Oconto, WI High School and received a B.E. degree from UW-Whitewater. She married Donald J. Ludtke on March 23, 1929. He preceded her in death in 1967. Myra taught kindergarten in the Janesville School System for many years. She was a member of First Congregational Church UCC and it’s Mary Martha Circle, the Janesville and Wisconsin Retired Teachers Association and Royal Neighbors of America.Surviving are one son, Philip (Stephanie) Ludtke of Roswell, GA, three grandchildren, Christopher Ludtke of Minneapolis, MN, Elizabeth (Brandon) Baca and Amy Ludtke both of Portland, OR, five great-grandchildren, Nicole Ludtke, Kassi Chorn, Kaylie Baca, Taylor Baca, Jake Davis Ludtke and several loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Myra was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. Service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, September 5, 2010 at First Congregational Church UCC, 54 South Jackson Street, Janesville with Rev. Wes Bixby officiating. Private interment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials may be made to the First Congregational Church Sunday School.
